A few words from Hank

I first discovered my Grandma Augusta’s recipe over 20 years ago.  I made a batch and brought it to the office where it was an instant sensation.  Over the years I have entered it into competition at the county fair several times and it has always taken the top prize.  When I’m invited to a friend’s home during the holiday season, I don’t have to ask what to bring because they always want my fudge. 

When I was considering offering the fudge at Mantorville Farms, I did some market research and ordered fudge from all over the United States and Canada.  I purchased cheap fudge and expensive fudge, but no matter how much I paid, I could not find any fudge that tasted as good as Grandma’s recipe.  I also observed that all of the fudge I received was in very unattractive packages.  That’s why I sought the help of KC Pottery and asked them to design a fudge dish that would do justice to Grandma’s recipe.  I also asked Don Meyer, one of our featured woodworkers to design a wood box similar to the one Grandma used in Canada.  I still needed a place to make the fudge that would meet all state and federal requirements.  I was truly blessed when The Chocolate Shoppe in Mantorville agreed to make the fudge for Mantorville Farms using Grandma’s recipe.

I’m proud to say that Mantorville Farms now offers the finest tasting fudge in the most unique packaging.  You can purchase the fudge with or without the wood box.  Both the dish and box can be used for many different things after you have enjoyed that last piece of fudge.  The bowls are oven, microwave and dishwasher safe.  Because our fudge is in the special packaging, the price per pound is higher than that of other producers.  We decided to take advantage of that fact and advertise that Mantorville Farms fudge is the most expensive fudge in the world.  When you send our fudge as a gift, you can be sure the recipient will be impressed with the taste and appearance of your gift.  They will know that you sent them the best.  In fact, you can claim that you purchased the most expensive fudge in the world and know that your claim is guaranteed by Mantorville Farms.  If you find any fudge that costs more than ours, we will cheerfully bill you for the difference in price plus 10 percent.  Thus, preserving your bragging rights.
